What Does the   PTO Do?

Every fundraiser, event, and volunteer effort helps make a difference at Macungie Elementary. Throughout the year, the PTO sponsors a variety of programs, resources, and activities that enhance the educational experience for our students and support our dedicated teachers. Field Trips

The PTO fully funds all field trip expenses for every grade level, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to participate in these valuable educational experiences.

Welcome Back Baskets

To start the school year off right, all classroom teachers, gifted teachers, specials teachers, and learning support staff receive a welcome-back basket filled with commonly used classroom supplies, a desk survival kit, a $100 Amazon gift card for classroom needs, and a Dunkin' gift card for a special treat.

Teacher Stipends

At the beginning of each school year, teachers receive a stipend to help offset the cost of classroom supplies and materials.

Teacher Grants

Each spring, teachers have the opportunity to apply for PTO grants to support innovative projects and enriching learning experiences for their students. These grants allow teachers to bring creative ideas to life beyond the constraints of their regular budgets. We are proud to support as many requests as possible each year.

Fifth Grade Celebration

Moving on to middle school is an exciting milestone, and the PTO helps make it memorable! Funds are allocated each year for a special fifth-grade celebration, which has included inflatables, games, dunk tanks, and treats from Kona Ice or local ice cream vendors.
